George Robert Apgar, age 80, of Startown Road in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, May 24, 2020.
A private graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Apgar was born April 25, 1940, in Chester, New Jersey, to the late Frank Leslie Apgar and Helen Apgar. He worked in construction.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Goodman Apgar of the home; a son, Michael Apgar of Statesville; five daughters, Melanie Nicholson (Mike) of Maiden, Penny Patterson of Crouse, Lesa Brooks (Johnny) of Lincolnton, Nancy Carpenter of Cherryville, and Karen Campbell of Dallas; a sister, Doris McCatharn of Tennessee; fifteen grandchildren, Branden, Brittney, Aimee, Robert, Danny, Josiah, Rose, Randy, Matthew, Bryson, Justin, Corey, Brent, Dustin, and Casey; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
