Charles “Chuck” Ray Spencer, age 67, of Coral Drive in Lincolnton, died on Monday, May 11, 2020.

Charles was born February 20, 1953, in Lincoln County, to the late Daniel S. Spencer and Sarah Brittain Spencer.   In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, L.J. Spencer, Carroll Spencer, and Donald Spencer; and a sister, Dorothy Payseur.  He worked in textiles.

He is survived by a sister, Effie “Muriel” Spencer Paysour (Clyde) of Lincolnton; two sisters-in-law, Judy Spencer and Edna Spencer, both of Lincolnton; half-sister, Geraldine Davis of Iron Station; nephews, Jimmy Spencer and Donnie Spencer, John Payseur; nieces, Wanda Locklair, Annette Wray (Bruce), Gale Elmore (Jeff), Lynn Smith, Renee Townsend, and Robin Hester; cousin, Tim Spencer; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Service will be planned for a later date.
