Robert Wayne Chapman

Robert Wayne Chapman, age 81 of Chapman-Wyant Lane in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, April 21, 2020.
Mr. Chapman was born October 16, 1938, in Burke County, to the late Yates and Vassie Willis Chapman. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Cochrane Furniture. He loved spending time with his family and was an avid lover of classic cars.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Palmer Chapman of the home; a daughter, Sheila C. Gantt, and husband Randy, of Lincolnton; three sons, Chris Chapman, and Greg Coffelt, of Florida, Donnie Chapman, and wife Sharon, of Mocksville, and Rex Chapman, and wife Kim, of Lincolnton; a brother, Kenneth Chapman, and wife Nancy, of Vale; six grandchildren, Sonja Richardson, Jessica McPhee, Joel Chapman, Matthew Chapman, Bryan Chapman, Brent Chapman; and nine great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held on Friday at Forest Lawn Cemetery. His body may be viewed from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2020, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
