Jerry Dean Thomas

Jerry Dean Thomas, age 76, of Peak Resources in Gastonia, and formerly of Reepsville Road in Vale, and Waurika, OK, died on Thursday, April 2, 2020.
Jerry was born April 14, 1943, in Lincoln County, to the late Spurgeon Leroy “Roy” Thomas and Montie Nelson Thomas. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Ernest Thomas and Ralph Thomas. He served in the United States Air Force. Upon his discharge, he worked as a truck driver and was most recently a rancher of cattle and horses.
He is survived by Joyce Thomas of Lincolnton, and a daughter, Nicole Rhyne, and husband Tracy, of Lincolnton; a brother, Harvey Thomas, and wife Carol, of Stanley; a sister, Mary Smith, and husband Richard, of Vale; three grandchildren, Bret Allen of Lincolnton, John Michael Warren of Denver, and Seth Warren of Lincolnton; and one great-granddaughter, Ellie Warren of Denver.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
