Joan Hartman Brooks

Joan Hartman Brooks, age 66, of Laboratory Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, March 2, 2020.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2020, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Norris Willis officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
Mrs. Brooks was born October 26, 1953, in Lincoln County, to the late James Robert “Whitey” Hartman and Bessie Ridley Hartman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Hartman and O.C. Beaver; and two sisters, Myra Hartman and Sybil Williamson. Joan had a huge love of animals.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph L. Brooks of the home; a son, James Everette Sain of the home; stepsons, Joey Moody, and wife Tammie, of Lincolnton, and Robbie Moody, and wife Sandy, of Cherryville; a brother, Michael Hartman of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Jacob Moody of Virginia, Jordan Moody of Charlotte, and Jaqson Moody of Lincolnton; numerous nieces and nephews, and her cats, Sugar Bear and Buttercup.
