Hazel Elmore Alexander

Hazel Elmore Alexander, age 88, of Balsam Drive in Lincolnton, died on Monday, February 24, 2020.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2020, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Jaie Warlick officiating. Burial will follow in the Gainsville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Alexander was born November 21, 1931, in Lincoln County, to the late William Frank Elmore and Cordia Martin Elmore. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Kermit Alexander; a brother, William Dale Elmore; and a son, Jeffrey Alexander. She worked for Vermont American. After retiring, she worked parttime for Maryvale Day Care for ten years.
She is survived by a daughter, Quita Alexander Hartman of Lincolnton; a brother, Bob Elmore, and wife Jean, of Lincolnton; a granddaughter, Kalin Elizabeth Cook, and husband Dr. Thomas Cook, of Lincolnton; a great-granddaughter, Freya Cook; niece, Shelly McCraw, and husband David; and great-niece, Shaina Thomas, and husband Jonathon.
Memorials may be made to the Leonard’s Fork Baptist Church Building Fund, 1462 Leonard’s Fork Church Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
