John David Flowers, Sr., age 83, of Peak Resources in Gastonia, died on Wednesday, December 18, 2019.
John was born January 13, 1936, in Catawba County, to the late Charles Clem Flowers and Virginia Prue Reep Flowers. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Smith. He was a salesman. He was a long-time member of the Masons and Shriners.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy Lee McIntire Flowers of Cherryville; two sons, John David Flowers, Jr., of Vale, and Steven Lee Flowers (Lori) of Kings Mountain; a daughter, Lori Ann Flowers of Cherryville; a brother, Charles Flowers; a sister, Margaret Kirby of Hudson; two grandchildren, Jessica Flowers and Danielle Flowers; and one great-grandchild, Marlee June McPherson.
The family will receive friends at Warlick Funeral Home from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2019.
