Obituaries

Roger Kim Bivens, age 65, of Reepsville Road in Vale, died on Thursday, October 10, 2019.

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2019, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Susan Walker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bethphage Lutheran Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Roger was born June 12, 1954, in Lincoln County.  He served in the United States Navy and then later worked as a pipe fitter.  Roger was a member of Emanuel Reformed Church.  

He is survived by a son, Jason Bivens of Vale; parents, R.B. and Rebecca Robbs of Lincolnton; a brother, Michael Bivens, and wife Marcia, of Lincolnton; a sister, Leann White and husband, Elliotte of Raleigh; two grandchildren, Devan Bivens and Samuel Bivens; and special aunt, Sue Gilbert of Lincolnton.
