Darrell Joe Price, age 53, of East Maiden Road in Maiden, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 17, 2019.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith M. Sherrill and Rev. Raymond Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Joe was born September 15, 1965, in Burke County, to Clyde Forrest Price and the late Karen Cecilia Crowder Price. He was the owner of Joe Price Lawn Care.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Hooks Price of the home; three daughters, Meghan Price Hunt (Brian), Emma Sherrill (Keith), and Mallory Baker; a son, Hunter Baker (Nicole); seven brothers, Donnie Price (Teresa), Dana Price, Danny Price (Donna), Dwayne “Pnut” Price (Dianne), Shawn Price (Amanda), Deon Price, and Derrick Price (Angel); a sister, Karen Dawn Price; three grandchildren, Alisha Brooke Sherrill, Hailey Lianne Sherrill, and Henry Parker Hunt; and his father, Clyde Forrest Price.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to the nurses in the Catawba Valley Medical Center Oncology Unit for their exceptional care and understanding.
