Randy Dean Tallent

Randy Dean Tallent, age 64, of Sam Houser Road in Vale, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019.
A memorial service to honor Randy’s life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, 2019, at Reeps Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Fulker officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 until 3:45 p.m. at the church.
Randy was born May 3, 1955 in Lincoln County, to the late John Dean Tallent and Sue Carpenter Tallent. He was a loyal, trusted brother and son, a dedicated husband, a proud, loving father, and treasured by ALL of his family. He loved and enjoyed his career as a truck driver for 43 years.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Phyllis Richard Tallent of the home; a son, John Dock Tallent of Vale; a daughter, Elle Dellinger, and husband J, of Vale; a brother, Doug Tallent, and wife Gena, of Lincolnton; three sisters, Renee Lanier, and husband Rick, of Vale, Kathy Slawson, and husband Bob, of Vevay, IN, and Krista Tallent of Vale; nieces and nephews, Shannon Harris, Logan Dupree, Layn Tallent, Natasha Herman, Angie Davison, Angel Watson, Markus Beam, Sally Day, and Luke Johnson; mother-in-law, Willie “Mom” Richard, “sisters in life”, Johnnie Rae Beam, and husband Mark, Debbie Logan, and Tammy Johnson, and husband Todd, all of Vale; in addition, his great nieces and nephews, Laken, Adaline, J.T., Rae, JayMark, Finley, Beau and Wilkes; and the rest of his beloved family.
