Nellie Vola Woody

Mrs. Nellie Vola Woody, age 95 of Lincolnton, died on Sunday, June 2, 2019.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Rhodes officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Woody was born October 29, 1923 in Mitchell County to the late Luther and Mamie Branch Waycaster. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Landers Woody and one son, Mackey Lewis. Mrs. Woody was retired from textiles.
Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Woody of Lincolnton, Tommy Lewis of Hickory and Ervin Waycaster of Cherryville; eight grandchildren , eighteen great-grandchildren and special friends, Sandra Woody and Doris Lamb.
