Bonnie Ruth Engle Taylor
( March 28, 1925 - April 30, 2019 )
Bonnie Ruth Engle Taylor, 94, resident of Lincolnton NC, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

Her funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M on Saturday May 4th at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Reverend Jim Sanders officiating.  The body will lie in state for thirty minutes prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00pm on Friday May 3rd, 2019 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Taylor was born March 28th, 1925 in Lincoln County to the late Beverly and Susan Beam Engle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Lee Taylor and a son Roy Carroll “Pete” Taylor. Siblings and Spouses, Paul & Geneva Engle, Thea and Kate Engle, B.A and Camilla Engle, Willie and Dean Howell, Inez and Robert Hoyle, Betty Engle and Clyde Engle.

She is survived by Children; Larry and Vicki Taylor of Iron Station, Eddie and Cheryl Taylor of Lincolnton. Barbara and Rick Cherry of Lincolnton and Rheba and Roy Leonard of Lincolnton, and daughter-in-law, Krista Davidson of Vale.  Grandchildren; Chad Pate, Leanne Taylor, Brian Taylor (Mandy), Lonnie Leonard, Lisa Leonard Coleman (Josh), Dillon Taylor, Angie Davidson, Natasha Davidson Herman (Andrew).  Great Grandchildren; Chelsea Davis, Hunter & Peyton Dexter, Logan, Colton & Mason Leonard, Ben & Jenna Taylor,  Jacob & Amelia Coleman.

A loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all she knew. She was a seamstress, hairdresser, and baker especially known for her delicious pies and cakes. Gardening was a passionate hobby along with listening to gospel music. She loved sharing her baked goods, ice cream, and time with her dear friend Jim Wise sitting on her front porch.  A lifelong member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, having perfect attendance for several years she loved serving the community and fellowship with her church family.

The family would like to thank her friends and caregivers Margie Sain, Suzette Burnsides, Tracy Ray, and Anna Reynolds and hospice for the love and care they showed her in her last days.
