Richard James Lamberth, Sr.
( September 30, 1932 - April 3, 2019 )
Richard James Lamberth, Sr, age 86, of Cardinal Health Care, and formerly of Southmont Road in Iron Station, died on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2019, at Real Life Community Church with Rev. Johnny Caldwell, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Lamberth was born September 30, 1932, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Curtis and Ossie Medlin Lamberth.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Alice Owens Lamberth; daughter-in-law, Sherry Bowers Lamberth; son-in-law, Robert Eaton; granddaughter, Tisa Michelle Strickland Dellinger and her daughter, Payton Dellinger; a grandson, Daniel Lee McCaslin; a brother, Johnny Lamberth; and a sister, Libby Harris.  He worked in textiles and, in his free time, raised and loved his Beagles.  

He is survived by two sons, Richard James Lamberth, Jr. (Joyce) of Iron Station, and Gary Lamberth of Maiden; four daughters, Phyllis Lamberth Strickland of Lincolnton, Pamela Lamberth Eaton of Wilmington, Mary Lamberth McCaslin (Dennis) of Newton, and Amy Lamberth Barkley (Stanley) of Maiden; two brothers, Junior Lamberth of Belmont, and Theodore Lamberth of Santee Cooper, SC; two sisters, Shelby Jean Perkins of Iron Station, and Betty Allen of Lincolnton; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
