Gerald Lee Cook
( March 20, 1938 - February 3, 2019 )
Gerald Lee Cook, age 80, of Lincolnton, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019.        

His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Highland Drive Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Luke Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the church. 

Mr. Cook was born March 20, 1938, in Cleveland County, to the late Hubert T. Cook and Ethel Mead Cook.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 54-½ years, Marilyn Randall Cook.  After high school graduation, he attended and graduated from Belmont Textile School and later owned his own business in textiles. 

He is survived by his children, Gerald Bryon Cook, and wife Donna, of Lincolnton, Vickie C. Fletcher, and husband Gregg, of Hickory, Regina C. Propst, and husband Robert, of Granite Falls, and Mitchell Cook of Conover; a brother, Larry Wayne Cook of Valdese; a sister, Brenda Kay Rhoney of Valdese; three grandchildren, Savannah C. Hall, and husband Adam, Shelbey C. Devine, and husband Christopher, and Gerald Wyatt Cook, and wife McKenzie; and two great-grandchildren, Easton Hall and Adalynn Hall.
