Reca Emma Gardner Steelman

Reca Emma Gardner Steelman, age 86, of Hunter Rhyne Road in Lincolnton, died on Friday, February 1, 2019.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Staley officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2019, at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Steelman was born June 19, 1932, in Cherokee County, SC, to the late Tillman and Minnie Lula Littlejohn Gardner. She was also preceded in death by her husband Johnny C. Steelman and a son. Mrs. Steelman was retired from S. Ray Lowder School as a cafeteria worker.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Kay Steelman of the home; two sons, Bobby Alan Steelman of Bowling Green, KY and Thomas Ray Steelman of Franklinton, NC; a sister, Juanita Hollifield of Chesnee, SC; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 1139 Oak Grove Church Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
