Gordon Mitchell Brown

Gordon Mitchell Brown, age 65, of the Brian Center in Charlotte, and formerly of Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2019, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Nathan Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Gordon was born June 12, 1953, in Lincoln County, to the late Abner Clyde Brown and Hazel Bell Keever Brown. He served in the United States Air Force and the United States Army, and then later worked in textiles.
He is survived by a son, Mitch Randell Brown of Gastonia; a daughter, Christine B. Swindell of Gastonia; four brothers, Clayton Brown of Lincolnton, Steven Brown of Lawndale, Nathan Brown of Charlotte, and Richard Brown of Lincolnton; a sister, Mickey B. Angel of Lincolnton; and three grandchildren, Kevin Swindell, Jackson Swindell, and Ada Martin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
