George Mein Brown, III

George Mein Brown, III, age 69, of Jake Seagle Road in Vale, died on Thursday, January 3, 2019.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Hulls Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Marcus Redding officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Brown was born October 3, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late George M. Brown, Jr. and Mary Ethel Hurt Brown Toth. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Bill Brown. He was a professional drummer and retired welder.
He is survived by his wife, Lesli Taylor Brown of the home; two sons, George M. Brown, IV of Indian Trail, and Joshua Aaron Brown of Vale; two brothers, Michael Brown of Monroe, and David Brown of Charlotte; two sisters, Cindy Brown of Colorado, and Mary Brown of Charlotte; and three grandchildren, Sarah Brown, Hayden Brown, and Jake Brown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, 258 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28054, for the Robin Johnson Hospice House.
