Buddy "Bud" Loy Smith

Mr. Buddy “Bud” Loy Smith, age 92, of Banoak Road in Vale, died on Tuesday.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Reeps Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Fulker and Rev. Bob Lynn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
“Bud” was born August 29, 1926, in Catawba County to the late Clyde and Ida Reinhardt Smith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Saine Smith. He was the owner of Smith Broom Works.
He is survived by a son, Ahren Smith, and wife Shelley, of Vale; a brother, Virgil Smith of Vale; a sister, Kay Ball of Fayetteville; and two grandchildren, Morgan Smith and Zack Smith.
