Sandra Whitesides Carpenter

Sandra Whitesides Carpenter, age 75, of 1558 Salem Church Road in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at First Wesleyan Church with Rev. Tommy Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Carpenter was born June 18, 1943, in Lincoln County, to the late Fletcher and Ruth Long Whitesides. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Gantt, and a brother, Kenny Whitesides. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph Carpenter; a daughter, Tammy Dellinger of Lincolnton; a son, Darin Carpenter, and wife Penny, of Lincolnton; a sister, Lana Bollinger of Lincolnton; a brother, Terry Whitesides of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Kristen Dellinger, Jordan Carpenter, Darin Carpenter, Jr., Jennifer Dellinger, and Rita Carpenter; and six great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Lily, Ayden, Chris, Brayden, and Stella.
Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, for Robin Johnson Hospice House, 258 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28054.
