Cora Wilson Sutton, age 85, of Lincolnton died peacefully Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Robin Johnson Hospice House.

Mrs. Sutton was born April 28, 1933 in Lincoln County. She was the daughter of the late Hamlin E. Wilson and Vergie Clark Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Eugene Sutton.  Mrs. Sutton was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church High Shoals.

Her funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 12, 2018 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Doug McClain will officiate.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sutton is survived by four daughters, Linda Sutton of Lincolnton, Sandra S. Koback and husband Robert of Maiden, Debbie S. Moss of Stanley and Gail S. Parker of Lincolnton; brother, Glenn Wilson and wife, Twila of Dallas; sister, Wilma Bayer of Ohio; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Robin Johnson Hospice House, 5005 Shepherd’s Way Drive, Dallas, NC 28034.
