James Franklin Gillelan Sr

Mr. James Franklin Gillelan, Sr., age 70, of Miles Road in Dallas died on Sunday, November 4, 2018.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chad Walker and Rev. James Gillelan II officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Gillelan was born June 29, 1948, in Lincoln County, to the late Helen Gillelan Hester. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Whiteside Gillelan; stepfather, Howard Hester Sr.; four brothers, Larry Hester, Billy Hester, Roy Hester and Howard Hester, Jr. Mr. Gillelan was a veteran of the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam War. He was retired from Timken.
Survivors include two sons, James F. Gillelan II and wife Jennifer of Texas, Joey Gillelan Sr. and wife Misty of Dallas, NC; one daughter, Jaime G. Wright and husband James of Dallas, NC; three sisters, Becky Knight and husband David of Lincolnton, Coleen Ingle of Lincolnton and Patricia Millican of Lincolnton; twelve grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Gaston County, 258 E Garrison Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28054.
