Carroll William Gilbert, age 68, of Gilbert Hilton Road in Vale died Friday, October 5, 2018.
Mr. Gilbert was born July 30, 1950 in Cleveland County. He was the son of the late Billie Jacob Gilbert and Rachel Lail Gilbert. He was a retired truck driver.
His funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at Trinity Luther Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Warlick Funeral Home.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 and a half years, Delores Payseur Gilbert of the home; son, Carroll W. Gilbert, Jr. and wife, Erica of Vale; daughter Audrey Gilbert Isenhour and husband, Jamie of Vale; brothers, Thomas Gilbert and wife, Cynthia of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Gerald “Jerry’ Gilbert of Vale; sister, Jeanie Catt of Charlotte; grandchildren, Heidi, Madalyn, Brenna and a grandson on the way.
