Joyce Thomas Shook

Joyce Thomas Shook, age 64, of Poplar Street in Lincolnton, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018, at South River Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Joyce was born March 24, 1954, in Lincoln County, to the late Ralph Gilmer Thomas and Louise Joyce Thomas. She worked as a nursing assistant at Brian Center.
She is survived by her husband, David Chester Shook of the home; a daughter, Shelly Creswell, and husband Brian, of Denver, CO; a son, Michael Shook, and wife Julie, of Gastonia; a brother, Philip Thomas, and wife Carolyn, of Lincolnton; and ten grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to South River Baptist Church, 1036 Confederate Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
