Cheryl Hunt Gray

Cheryl Hunt Gray, age 47, of Green Acres Road in Lincolnton, died on Friday, August 31, 2018.
Cheryl was born January 29, 1971, in Gaston County, to Steve Hunt and Sue Willard Lynch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Denver Gray. Cheryl served in the United States Navy during Operation Desert Storm, and then later worked as a nurse.
She is survived by a daughter, Kymberly Gray of the home; step-daughter, Alysa Gray of Denver; stepson, Tymothy Gray of Holden Beach; sister, Susan Brooks, and husband Michael, of Dallas; her mother, Sue Lynch, and husband Jason, of Camden, SC; her father, Steve Hunt of Gastonia; and two nephews, Steven Brooks and Gavin Brooks.
Memorials may be made to Highland Drive Freewill Baptist Church Youth Camp, 2810 Highland Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092; or to the Masonic Lodge #369, 214 S. South Street, Gastonia, NC 28052.
Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 3, 2018, at Highland Drive Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Luke Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
