William Gaston Leonard

William “Bill” Gaston Leonard, age 95, of Hoke Street in Lincolnton, died on Monday, July 16, 2018.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Emanuel Reformed Church, with Rev. Susan Walker officiating. Inurnment will be private. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Leonard was born October 9, 1922, in Lincoln County, to the late Charles C. and Knoxie Kiser Leonard. He was the president of Lincoln Wholesale Grocery.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn James Leonard; two sons, Steve Leonard, and wife Carol, of Sherrills Ford, and Andy Leonard, and wife Rebekah, of Stanley; a daughter, Beth Wise, and husband Don, of Vale; five grandchildren, Stacey L. Crouse, and husband Jeffrey, of Lincolnton, and Evan Wise of Vale, Jared Leonard of Denver, Charlie Leonard and Ben Leonard, both from Stanley; and one great-granddaughter, Gracie Crouse.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Emanuel Reformed Church, PO Box 2058, 329 E. Main Street, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
