James Wayne Goins

James “Jim” Wayne Goins, age 77, of 432 E. Rhodes Street in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, July 11, 2018.
James was born February 4, 1941, in Lincoln County, to the late Evan and Clara Huffman Goins. He worked for the Lincoln County Solid Waste Department. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and collector of many things. He loved his family, friends, and his dogs. His love of being outdoors took him many places and gave him many great adventures with wonderful friends.
He is survived by his wife, Frankie Peeler Goins of the home; a daughter, Jamie Goins of Lincolnton; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved fur grandbabies, Blackie, Kida, and Milo.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Woodside Church of Our Savior with Rev. Fred Helms officiating. The family will greet friends in the parish hall following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodside Church of Our Savior, PO Box 203, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
