Danny Eugene Leonard
( March 1, 1952 - July 5, 2018 )
Danny Eugene Leonard, age 66, of Seagletown Road in Vale, died on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018, at Daniels Lutheran Church with Pastor Dave Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Warlick Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Cayla Leonard.
Mr. Leonard was born March 1, 1952, in Guilford County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland Seth and Ethel Childers Leonard. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Edwards. Mr. Leonard was a former truck driver.
Left to cherish his memory are his four children: Lori Leonard McBryde (David) of Clayton, Jason Seth Leonard (Kristy) of Vale, Darren Eugene Leonard (Kim) and Cayla Marie Leonard, all of Lincolnton; the children’s mother, Betty Yount Leonard; and six grandchildren John and Katie McBryde, Matthew Barker and Blake Leonard, Allie Leonard, and Jaxson Duvall.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Robin Johnson Hospice House for the loving care and compassion he received.
Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, 258 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28054.
