Faye Carroll Whiteside

Faye Carroll Whiteside, 90, of Lincolnton, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at home.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Chad Walker officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Burial will be private.
Faye was born June 30, 1927, in Killeen, Texas, to the late Leonard Davis Carroll and Addis Lena Farmer Carroll. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Whiteside Gillelan, and a grandson, Brian Sheppard. She worked as a sales representative for BellSouth.
She is survived by sisters, Irene Schweigert of Kentucky and Lenora Stafford of Texas; daughters, Evelyn Whiteside Helms, and husband Jim, of Lincolnton, and Nancy Whiteside Dutton, and husband Steve, of Kentucky; stepson, Bill Whiteside, and wife Deanna, of Gastonia; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2639 E. Highway 150, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
