Obituaries

Mrs. Barbara Smith Houser, age 62, of Goldrock Trail in Maiden, died on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.

Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Bigham and Rev. Tim Coffey officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018 prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Houser was born August 28, 1955, in Lincoln County, to the late Jack Wiley Smith, Jr. and Frances Reynolds Smith.  She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Houser of the home; one son Steven Houser, II, and wife Gina, of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Alexis, Addison and Anderson Houser; one brother, Charles Smith of Lincolnton; two sisters, Faye Boston of Lincolnton and Judy A. Auton of Lincolnton.
