Penny Gayle Sellers Goins

Penny Gayle Sellers Goins, age 71, of Wilma Sigmon Road in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, May 6, 2018.
Her funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at South River Baptist Church, 2036 Southside Road in Lincolnton, with Rev. Larry Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:15 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Penny was born May 26, 1946, in Gaston County, to the late Cline and Mazel Brown Sellers. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bruce E. Goins, and siblings Ronnie Sellers, Billie Ann Sellers, Frankie Sellers, and Vickie Sellers Lowman. She worked in textiles. She, and her husband Bruce, were owners and operators of Honor’s System Produce Stand on Wilma Sigmon Road.
She is survived by a daughter, Terri Goins Mays, and husband David; three sons, Timothy Bruce Goins, and wife Amy, Matthew Fred Goins, and wife Kellie, and Mark Evan Goins, and wife Cynthia; sisters, Patsy Mitchem, Shelby Sneed, Sherry Drum, and Kimmie Heavner;; four grandchildren, Whitney Goins Synder, MacKenzie Goins Polk, Joshua David Mays, and Elijah Matthew Goins; great-granddaughter, Stella Layken Polk; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to South River Baptist Church, PO Box 2038, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
