Thomas Joseph Waskielis

Thomas Joseph Waskielis, age 75, of Mariners Pointe Circle in Denver, died on Sunday, April 22 2018.
A memorial service and mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at St. Peter by-the-Lake Episcopal Church with Father Ron Taylor officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. A reception will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
Mr. Waskielis was born March 18, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Albert and Marie Mytick Waskielis. He retired from equipment sales and service for Carolina Industrial Trucks.
He is survived by his wife, LaVerne Trzaska Waskielis of the home; a daughter, Angela Matousek, and husband Michael, of Denver; two beloved grandchildren, Thomas Matousek and David Matousek; two brothers, Robert Waskielis, and wife Charlotte, of Bellevue, OH and Patrick Waskielis of Simi Valley, CA; three sisters, Carole Billy of Cleveland, OH, Peggy Kocisko, and husband Johnny, of Streetsboro, OH, and Michele Cleveland, and husband Jeff, of Warren, OH; and a dear sister-in-law, Fran Wesley of Sheffield, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Angels & Sparrows Soup Kitchen, PO Box 315, Huntersville, NC 28078. Flowers should be delivered to St. Peter By-the-Lake Episcopal Church, 8433 Fairfield Forest Road, Denver, NC 28037.
