Shirley Ramsey Thompson

Shirley Ramsey Thompson, age 78 of Dallas, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018, peacefully with her family by her side.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dale Lawing officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thompson was born December 9, 1939, in Lincoln County, to the late Efird and Doris Hicks Ramsey. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl McGill Thompson and a daughter, Rhonda Thompson.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna Freestone, and husband Steve, of Dallas, Carla Keeter, and husband Butch, of Dallas, and Glenda Black, and husband Kenny, of Stanley; one granddaughter, Gina Johnson of Dallas; and two step-grandchildren, Whitney Dupuis and Erin Black.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation of North Carolina, 4819 Park Road, Suite C, Charlotte, NC 28209-3842.
