Mary Helen Rice

Mary Helen Rice, age 86, of River Street in High Shoals, died on Sunday, February 18, 2018.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Stanley Spence and Rev. Dr. Dixon Free officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 5:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Ms. Rice was born January 14, 1932, in Gaffney, South Carolina, to the late A.R. and Verdie Tabor Rice. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Rice. Ms. Rice worked as a secretary.
She is survived by a brother, Budgie Rice of Lincolnton; two sisters, Shirley Nantz and Phyllis Rice, both of High Shoals; and a niece, Paige Rice of Lincolnton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 201 Robin Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
