Sarah Myers Gardner

Sarah Virginia Myers Gardner, age 100, of Ben Yount Lane in Vale, died on Thursday, January 18, 2018.
A memorial service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Sardis Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, with Rev. Jane Fobel officiating.
Mrs. Gardner was born May 20, 1917, in Moundsville, West Virginia, to the late George and Eleanor Myers. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard K. Gardner, Sr. She retired from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, and East Mecklenburg High, where she worked in office administration.
She is survived by two sons, Richard (Dick) K. Gardner, II, and wife Paulette, of Vale, and Robert Gardner and his wife Cathy of Winston-Salem. Also 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grand children.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
