Kenneth Lee "Moon" Mauney, Jr.

Kenneth Lee Mauney, Jr. “Moon”, age 64, of Lambs Way in Iron Station, died on Friday, January 12, 2018.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Mauney was born June 4, 1953, in Gaston County, to the late Kenneth Lee Mauney, Sr. and Margie Ruth Stroupe Mauney. He worked as an auto mechanic at Abernethy Chrysler Jeep in Lincolnton.
He is survived by his wife, Donna C. Mauney of the home; a daughter, Trina M. Brown, and husband Brent, of Cherryville; a brother, David Allen Mauney, and wife Amelia, of Dallas; two sisters, Barbara Ann M. Ford, and husband Steve, of Alexis and Denise M. Boyce, and husband Bruce, of Garden City, SC; two grandchildren, Alex Brown and Laura Brown, both of Cherryville; and two step-sons, Matthew J. Hooker of Charlotte and Daniel J. Hooker of Connecticut.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Levine & Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078.
