Rachel Alice "Shortie" McConnell

Rachel Alice (Shortie) McConnell, of Lincolnton, died peacefully on Monday, November 13, 2017, at Sherrills Ford Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church in Lincolnton. Burial will be private. At other times, the family will be at home, 2136 Dale Avenue, in Lincolnton.
Born April 25, 1938, in Lincolnton, NC, she was the daughter of Ted and Lillie Eurey. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McConnell was also preceded in death by her husband, Grady (Jud) McConnell; son, Jamie Kent McConnell; and great-granddaughter, Addison Kent Andrus.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanene McConnell of Lincolnton; sister, Mallie E. Heavner (Don) of Lincolnton; brother, Ted Eurey (Mary Ann) of Greenville, SC; daughter-in-law, Frankie McConnell of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Rachel Kelly Tallent of Lincolnton, Heather and Tim Andrus, and Joshua Weaver of York, SC; great-grandchildren, Braden McConnell Andrus, Loflin Andrus, Karly Weaver, Ivy Muchka; brother-in-law, Louis McConnell (Barbara) of Lincolnton; and her beloved cat, Sassy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 114 W. Main Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
