Donnie Eugene Grooms

Donnie Eugene Grooms, age 54, of 347 Sunnyhill Drive in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, November 8, 2017.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2017, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Jarrell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Grooms was born August 9, 1963, in Gaston County, to Anthony Grooms and Kay Grigg Stacy. He worked for Timken. Donnie was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Tarheel fan, as well as a caring and loving father, son, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his father, Tony Grooms of Dallas; his mother and step-father, Kay Stacy, and husband Ralph, of Lincolnton; a son, Dustin Grooms of Lincolnton; a grandson, Daxton Grooms; a sister, Dana Adams, and husband Chris, of South Carolina; a brother, Darin Grooms of Lincolnton; and his ex-wife, Teresa Grooms of Lincolnton.
