Richard Lynn Caffey

Richard Lynn Caffey, age 59, of Oak Grove Church Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, November 7, 2017.
He was born March 18, 1958, in Cisco, Texas, to the late Jesse and Ruby Christine Etheridge Caffey. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Troy Caffey and Bill Wood. He served in the United States Marines and then later was a truck driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, and being with his children. Richard had a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Shelly O’Neill Caffey of the home; two sons, Richard Rodney Caffey of Texas, and Christopher Lewis Caffey, and fiancé Fatima, of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Taylor, Christian, Hannah, and Mikayla; two brothers, Randy Caffey of Alabama, and Ricky Wood of Texas; one niece, Ashley Peaslee; and mother-in-law, Barbara O'Neill.
A private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 514 Daniels Street, Suite 109, Raleigh, NC 27605.
