Ruth Coffey Harris

Ruth Coffey Harris, age 78, of 4161 John Ritchie Road in Iron Station, died on Monday, November 6, 2017.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Harris was born March 7, 1939, in Lincoln County, to the late William Glenn Coffey and Rosa Lee Parker Coffey. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her second husband, James “Bud” Harris; her first husband, James Luther Fredell; and a sister, Rachel Sherrill. She was a daycare owner and retired from Blue Bell Wrangler Kids.
She is survived by a daughter, Aleta Fredell; one grandson, Noah; four sisters, Martha Hovis, Glenda Bumgarner, Nancy Setzer and Jean Link; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church, PO Box 676, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
