Larry Martin Finger
( October 3, 1941 - October 30, 2017 )
Larry Martin Finger, age 76, of 152 Balsam Drive in Lincolnton, died on Monday, October 30, 2017.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at Blazin’ Trails Cowboy Church with Rev. Harvey Gates officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Finger was born October 3, 1941, in Lincoln County, to the late M.L. “Duke” Finger and Helen Friday Finger. He worked for Carolina Freight Carriers for 35 years as a safety engineer, was the owner/operator of Finger Courier Service, served as an Elder of Blazin’ Trails Cowboy Church, and was also the past President, and board member, of the Lincoln County Horseman Association.
He is survived by two sons, Tim Finger of Lincolnton and Todd Finger of Vale; a stepdaughter, Melissa Zickafoose of Denver; two brothers, Jerry Daniel Finger of Statesville and James Alfred Finger of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Dustin Finger and Michael Finger; and two great-grandchildren, Zaieligh Hoyle and Keirstyn Finger.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
