Larry Kenneth Carpenter

Larry Kenneth Carpenter, age 77, of 1562 Redbud Road in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, October 25, 2017.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017, at Friendly Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Harris officiating.
Mr. Carpenter was born January 27, 1940, in Gaston County, to the late Hosey and Ethel Ballard Carpenter. He served in the United States Army and then later worked as a general contractor.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sain Carpenter of the home; a son, Ken Carpenter, and wife Ruth, of Lincolnton; a daughter, Lesa Parker, and husband Tony, of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Adam, Matthew, and Madison; three sisters, Janette Cherry, Patricia Daniel, and Bobbie Jane Hovis, all of Lincolnton; and a nephew, Cliff Motz and family.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
