Charles Junior Gillian

Charles Junior Gillian, age 71, of the Brian Center-East in Hickory, and formerly of Winchester Lane in Denver, died on Friday, October 13, 2017.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marsha Joyner officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Gillian was born July 1, 1946, in Catawba County, to the late Ivey James and Nannie Stafford Gillian. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, R. Joann Helms Gillian, and a brother, Ray Gillian. He worked as a machine operator for Broyhill Furniture.
He is survived by a son, David Hight of Lawndale; two daughters, Linda Jo Turner of Sherrills Ford and E. Diane Shook of Taylorsville; two brothers, Jimmy Gillian and Tommy Gillian; five sisters, Peggy Hudson, Libby Livengood, Jane Spivey, Hazel Upright, and Hilda Mae Smith; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
