Alonzo Branch

Alonzo Branch, age 93, of Hillside Drive in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, September 21, 2017.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Branch was born April 16, 1924, in Rutherford County, to the late Walter S. and Osie Ledbetter Branch. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Reba Gibson Branch, and two brothers, Claude Branch and Dewitt Branch. He served in the United States Army during World War II, and then retired from National Fruit where he worked in maintenance.
He is survived by a son, Michael Branch, and wife Renee, of Lincolnton; a daughter, Teresa Randall, and husband Randy, of Cherryville; one sister, Helen Price of Bessemer City; two grandchildren, Amy Wright, and husband Steve, and Jason Randall; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, for Robin Johnson Hospice House, 258 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28054.
