John Warren Johnson, age 70, of Ritchfield Drive in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, September 17, 2017.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at River View Baptist Church with Pastor Ricky Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Johnson was born November 4, 1946, in Lincoln County, to the late Leroy and Maude Beatty Johnson. He worked as a painter.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Verlene Henderson Johnson of the home; his children, Tim Johnson, and wife Tonya, of Lincolnton, Karren Flecther, and husband Tim, of West Virginia, Sherry Hubbard, and husband Allen, of Vale, Ricky Johnson, Crystal Johnson and Jim Black, and Joy Lowery, and husband Glen, all of Lincolnton; brothers, Ronnie Johnson of Hickory and Mike Johnson of Lincolnton; sisters, Rachel Ballenger of Lincolnton, Sue Cardarelli of South Carolina, and Reba Goodson of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Rusty Johnson, Dustin Johnson, Kevin Hubbard, Kimberly Hubbard, Shane Flecther, Allen Johnson, Alison Lowery, Conner Lowery, Alec Johnson, Ashton Johnson, Addison Johnson, and Caleb Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Katie Johnson, Haley Johnson, Kyra Johnson, Trinity Johnson, Leland Johnson, Kinsley Hubbard, Addalyn Flecther, Brayden Flecther, Emmit Johnson, Max Owens, Laura Reynolds, and Brennon Reynolds.
