Lucas “Luke” Bill Chaney, age 36, of 3379 County Line Trail in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, August 13, 2017.
Lucas was born January 15, 1981, in Gaston County, to James M. Chaney and Brenda Stroupe. He worked as a septic tank operator.
He is survived by his father, James “Bud” Chaney of Lincolnton; his mother, Brenda Stroupe of Millers Creek, NC; a sister, Annette Campbell of Charlotte; a brother, Buddy Chaney, Jr. of Lincolnton; four aunts, Gail Chaney, and husband Bobby, of Lincolnton, Peggy Dyke of Lincolnton, Virginia Stamey of Long Shoals, and Jane Taylor of Long Shoals; and two cousins, Nikki C. Harris, and husband Ben, of Iron Station, and Jerry Reel, and wife Debbie, of High Shoals.
