Rickey Bullock Perkins, age 70, of Albemarle, NC died on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.
Ms. Perkins was born January 12, 1947, in Albemarle, NC, to the late Hazel B. and Rovetta T. Bullock. She worked as a nurse and later advanced her career to become the first female Paramedic Supervisor for Gaston County EMS, an accomplishment that she was very proud of. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her family. One of her biggest joys was spending time at the beach with family and friends.
She is survived by her three daughters and her step-son, Lori Maddox and Joel Crisp of Gastonia, NC; Melissa Barkley and Tim Svedlund of Charlotte, NC; Paige Eppinger and husband Lee of Troutman, NC; and Eugene Palmer and wife Melissa of Dallas, NC. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, Tiffany Orendorff and Danny Dawson of Vale, NC; Tara Barkley and Elliott Garrison of Charlotte, NC; Lauren Orendorff and fiancé Jason Kerns of Hildebran, NC; and Kaylee Palmer of Dallas, NC, four great-grandchildren, Skylee Pries, Hannah Pries, Zoey Lux Garrison, and Zeek Garrison, and two sisters, Debbie Morton and husband Jerry; and Myra Maner and husband Danny, all of Norwood, NC and many loving nieces and nephews.
Services are being planned for a later date.
