Winona Sue Waldroup Holland

Winona Sue Waldroup Holland, age 73, of Poston Drive in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, March 9, 2017.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Wayne Holcombe. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
On Sunday, March 12, 2017, the family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Ivie Funeral Home in Andrews, NC, with a graveside service to follow in Andrews, NC at Valleytown Cemetery.
Mrs. Holland was born March 24, 1943, in Cherokee County, to the late Richard L. Waldroup, Sr. and Aline Crawford Waldroup. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard L. Waldroup, Jr. She worked in sales and was a member of North Firestone Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, William B. Holland of the home; a son, Michael Holland, and Teresa, of Lincolnton; three daughters, Robin Dockery of Andrews, NC, Renee Moody, and husband Rick, of Lincolnton, NC, and Brooke Schrum of Sanford, NC; a brother, Gene Waldroup, and wife Lois, of Andrews; a sister, Janie Strahan, and husband Dick, of Andrews; seven grandchildren, Blayr Deaver, Jordan Dockery, Lauryn Sailors, Gracie Holland, Mack and Will Schrum, and Cassie Dockery; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Billy Graham Library Association, 4330 Westmont Drive, Charlotte, NC 28217, or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
