Coy Ted "Bo" Scronce

Coy Ted “Bo” Scronce, age 77, of Gilbert Sain Road in Vale, died on Sunday, March 5, 2017

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Freida Hobson  officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bethel Methodist Cemetery on Cansler Road in Vale.  The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Scronce was born January 1, 1940, in Catawba County, to the late Walter and Dorthea Smith Scronce.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Blair and Ned Scronce, and a sister, Dorothy Rojas.  He served in the United States Army and then worked as a truck driver until his retirement.  

He is survived by his wife, Clara Gilbert Scronce of the home; two sons, Sam Scronce and Kenny Scronce, both of Vale; one daughter, Kim S. Williams of Vale; five brothers, Steve Scronce, Buster Scronce, Rick Scronce, Wayne Scronce, and Dean Scronce; one sister, Carolyn Hubbard; three grandchildren, Travis Williams, Katie Williams Davis, and Alyx Scronce; and three great-grandchildren.
