Inez Thornburg Starr

Inez Thornburg Starr, age 90, of Gastonia Highway in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, March 2, 2017.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Pisgah United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Starr was born December 31, 1926, in Lincoln County, to the late Dorus and Ollie Kiser Thornburg. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Luther Starr; three brothers, D.C. Thornburg, Jr., Clyde Thornburg, and Johnny Thornburg; and one sister, Juanita Houser. She worked as a bookkeeper for Crown Converting.
She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Starr of Lincolnton; one sister, Peggy Heavner of Lincolnton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
