Virginia Walker Baker
( September 6, 1930 - March 1, 2017 )
Virginia Walker Baker, age 86, of Magnolia Grove Road in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dick Whitener officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Baker was born September 6, 1930, in Catawba County, to the late William Thomas Walker and Mary Huffman Walker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Baker. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by her children, Johnny and Libby Baker, Ronnie and Lori Baker, and Lee and Tammy Baker, all of Lincolnton; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation of NC, 4819 Park Road, Suite C, Charlotte, NC 28209.
